2 – Download PPTP Server in Virtual Appliances :
http://www.tinyservers.com/downloads/Ti … s-pptp.zip

3 – open it and start it in VMWare

4 – 2 command to setup
1. TinyServers-pptp boots up, default ip 192.168.1.25

2. Username: “root” password: “password”.

3. PF enabled, ping/http/ssh/pptp allowed to pcn0, all allowed out.

4. Go to http://www.tinyservers.com/ docs will be updated on the site.

The default config is based from the base image, Changes made to this Image are:

Added the conf directory to the /flash dir. All files in this conf directory are copied at boot.

By default the box boots up as 192.168.1.25/24 default gateway 192.168.1.1 PPTP server is running and handing out

192.168.1.10-192.168.1.20, to change the default setings of the box run the command:

“sh /usr/bin/setpptp <ifaceip> <netmask> <gateway> <range> <dns> <wins>”

You must currently have all of these feilds set for this script to work, the defualt setup was obtained by running

the following command:

“sh /usr/bin/setpptp 192.168.1.25 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.10-192.168.1.20 192.168.1.5 192.168.1.5”

No pptp users are configured by default, you can add pptp users by issuing the following command:

“sh /usr/bin/addpptpuser <username> <password>”

5 – Port forward the 1723 to your VM Computer IP

Done, you can dial PPTP from any location and your are connected in VPN
